The Rock Pub and Grill - 570 St. Albert Trail November 07, 2008 - Friday PM Wonitha’s original pop rock music and soulful ballads is the main stream of this band’s performance, but her fresh arrangements of rockin’ cover tunes of the 60’s and 70’s bring bygone days back with all the fever and excitement of Woodstock and the British Invasion. Wonitha’s songs have been played on CKER, A-Channel, and CKUA. During the summer the band plays at many benefit concerts and outdoor festivals. A great time was had by all at Eddie Shorts Bar & Grill on Friday, October 5. Although the evening started on a slow note, by the second set people had begun to pack the place. The space in front of the band was soon filled with dancers of all sorts. Judy Smith celebrated her birthday . … and boy did she celebrate! Her enthusiasm on the dance floor was contagious and before we knew it half the house was up and dancing. An impromptu performance by Judy and her friend suddenly materialized in he middle of a song with Wonitha. All three , arms together , finished the song to the cheering approval of onlookers. Wow, was this a “Supremes” moment or what?
